Errand-girl

Today, I had a funny work task. A very high-maintenance client insisted upon getting these sunglasses. But we only had the scratched up display pair. Somebody (usually it’s one of the guards) needed to go 15 blocks and pick up a nice pair from the Madison store on 71st. The guards were all busy, lunching, guarding, whatever. I said, send me! Fresh air! A new adventure! But I couldn’t take the glasses with me to make sure and get the right ones, so my co-workers took a photo of me in them, and sent me over to the store with the poloroid, including SKU number and price and color and style number. So! I walked to Madison and picked them up and took a cab back, cuz they said I could! Now I have this photo of me in the glasses, from work. With a price, and SKU number. It’s a funny memento from this whole work experience. I really love who I work with, they are funny and fabulous people with great attitudes, and warm hearts. Friday, I head to my second interview in footwear design, so as many of you have already been requested, and the rest of you now, send me good thoughts and so when I leave YSL, I have this photo to remember my funny odd jobs there. Next week, I’m in California for a bit. Maybe I will need these glasses there, cuz I certainly don’t need them here in this NY winter-weather… Hey, maybe I’ll auction off the photo for a starting bid of $210! haha.
