Okay. It’s not quite summer here, as it was in these photos from last August, but nevertheless, here is what is surrounding me now. I traded in sounds of the commuter rail, subway, taxis and sirens and high rises in NYC, for crashing waves from the Atlantic Ocean and Boston Harbor, and ducks quacking here in Winthrop, just a few minutes out of downtown Boston. Today some ducks wandered up into the backyard and we fed them some bread, watching them, admiring them, stuyding them and laughing about their funny waddle- it absolutely made my day! I love animals, they are so incredible.

I had a lovely get-together with my friends in NYC before I left and then it was a smooth transition packing up my stuff and driving it here in about 3 1/2 hours, in a little minivan, stuffed to the gills. We have been unpacking and finding things and setting up the house. I am slowly decompressing from the sounds, sites and pace of the city life and enjoying a gradual acclimation into a calmer environment, with lots of room to spread out! I have yet to take any new photos, but as we continue to make progress setting up the house, I will be snapping away and posting them up on flickr. I am loving focusing on the domestic aspects of life again! And my phone bill will be affordable again, not being in a different country from my squeeze.

As far as work goes, I am finishing up a few projects for my main client in NYC, and then will start to approach design opportunities here in the Boston-area, as well as get back to drawing again! I am itching to draw in the spacious office/studio, with beautiful natural light and views of the water, music on, tea brewing, and a completely fresh state of mind! Be back soon!
