Micron pens and paint markers on watercolor paper. Not sure what this needs next so I’ll just sleep on it for now!

beppo fazoolcowboy and beppo
beppo fazool
This is Beppo (Beh-po) Fazool. He’s staying with us for a while and might stay permanently! He’s 7 months old, and we’re not sure what kind of dog, but seems to have a little bit of corgi, chihuahua, german shephard, wiener dog. Our neighbor is Cowboy’s vet and he was rescued, so we’re seeing how Cowboy and Beppo get along! He is really cute, quite the cuddler, but scrappy enough to put up with an 85 pound big brother. We shall see. The first few days have been interesting, cute, hilarious, exhausting, you know how it goes…

Some little drawings in my little 3.5″ x 5″ sketchbook. I like working small, and when I don’t have the focus to sit down and compose a larger piece, it’s fun to work on little ink/pen/marker drawings. Relaxing…

sunset
Look at this amazing sunset a few nights back! That’s the Boston skyline as seen from our porch.

Sorry my blog has been so blah lately. I used to post so often and take so many photos! I’ve been feeling like I should spend more time making stuff by hand and less time on the computer, for some reason. Could be that I’ve been spending my days for the past 4 months or so, not on the computer, and have actually enjoyed being away from it for long periods of time. Also, I’ve been enjoying domestic home life and games of scrabble, walks with the dog, and something made in the kitchen almost every night. I’ll try to post more often, I really will. Today I helped create a Thanksgiving holiday window display, with some 3-foot corn stalks made out of paper. Fun! Photos soon…

Great news, I am getting back into a full-time footwear position! Starting in December, I will be designing Guess? kids shoes for a company here in the New England area! I am super happy to be working with a great team, at a private company (you might remember my rants of working at a mega-corporation, and what ultimately drove me into the freelance world a year ago.) How fun to be doing kids footwear full time as well! I love kids footwear, lots of sparkly this and thats and bright colors and fun trims and stuff. I had the pleasure of doing some fun freelance kids projects, now I’ll be doing it full time! Yeah! This means I’ll be traveling for work again, which I am looking forward too.
