Remember this I was working on? Well with a few little adjustments (some added embroidery, etc) I finally got the sample back from the factory. The middle of the flowers light up when the kid walks. It’s really fun to work on kids shoes, because cute is the priority, and you know, that’s pretty much how I approach a lot of design, hoping it captures “cute.” I’ll show you more, later. Currently I am working on what seems like a billion different shoes for our Spring Summer 2009 collection, and my head is in a million different places; beach thongs, strappy sandals, peep toes, skimmers, infant shoes…
